      • All registered members, including temporary and non-riding members of the ASHS while participating in an ASHS sanctioned event

      • All directors, volunteers and officials

        Where are we covered?

        At ASHS sanctioned events*, social functions, meetings, fundraisers and working bees held anywhere in Australia.

        *sanctioned events include those listed on the ASHS National Calendar

        Personal Accident

        Personal Accident insurance is designed to help provide income protection and capital benefits to members and volunteers who are injured whilst participating in an Australian Stock Horse Society (ASHS) sanctioned event, subject to the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions of the policy. The association provides this benefit to help provide financial relief and support in the event of an eligible injury during a sanctioned event.

         Who is insured? 

        Members – All registered members, including temporary and non-riding members of the ASHS while participating in an ASHS sanctioned event, this includes whilst travelling to or from the event. 

        Directors, volunteers and officials –  Those assisting with the preparation, running and packing up of a sanctioned event, this includes whilst travelling to or from the event. Voluntary workers also include judges or those in a similar capacity.

        Public Liability

        The public and products liability policy is designed to provide cover to the Australian Stock Horse Society (ASHS) in the event it is found legally liable to pay compensation for bodily injury or property damage to third parties in connection to the Association’s insured events and activities, subject to the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions of the policy.

        • Cover extended to Affiliated Branches  
        • Cover extended to Volunteers and Officials whilst conducting their role on behalf of ASHS or their affiliated branch

        • Care Custody and Control Limit - $250,000 
        • Care Custody and Control Limit – Injury to Horse $1,000,000

        Excesses 

        • AUD1,500 each and every Occurrence (costs inclusive). 
        • AUD2,500 each and every Occurrence (costs inclusive) in respect to trail riding. 
        • Other than in respect of claim for Injury to contractors, subcontractors and/or labour hire workers for which the Deductible is AUD25,000 any one Occurrence (costs inclusive).
