A current (<30 day old) and satisfactory Veterinary Certificate is required when the horse proposed for insurance is greater than or equal to 15 years of age or over $25,000 Sum Insured. An independent valuation is also required when the Sum Insured is over $25,000.

A valuation is required prior to inception on the policy should you wish to have agreed value cover. Please note the below valuation requirements.

Veterinary Fee Cover Sums Insured options:

$7,500 limit per year ($500 excess each and every loss)

$10,000 limit per year ($500 excess each and every loss)

If you opt for the higher limit of $10,000 per year, an Emergency Colic Surgery Costs Extension becomes available.

Emergency Colic Surgery Costs Extension

$5,000 top up limit for emergency Colic Surgery costs only, to apply once the base limit of $10,000 has been exhausted.

*Emergency Colic Surgery Costs Extension coverage is not available where the horse proposed for insurance has had prior colic surgery.

*Availability is also subject to review where the horse proposed for insurance has a history of colic and/or gastrointestinal related illness.
